Button - Connect to protect more wildlife

Updated: Mar 15, 2020

Stampede International is a new non-profit organization which is born out of a passion for wildlife conservation. During 2019 Stampede wants to focus on the loss of emblematic species (pangolins, elephants and seahorses) which help highlight the broader wildlife loose story.

I want to using a creative way to create a real change in wild life conservation and raise the conversation behind this issue, but I don’t know how to achieve it.

Our Solution

This is the service blueprint which was drew according to our workflow. At each step of the service process, we summarized several methods for Stampede to provide service. We also add some insights which we think is useful. Now let us introduce our service step by step.

The example of protecting pangolin in China.

Ideations

Through relevant research, we know that there are three ways to change people's awareness. The first one is to make them rethink about their behaviors. The second one is helping them establish empathy. The third is education. And these three ways are complementary in the value changing process. Based on these three ways and the different psychological mechanisms of those four groups of people, we have produced seven different ideations, hoping to target and influence the corresponding groups.

We tested our ideation for the target people at next step and selected the following ideations.

Then do desk research to know the whole context of target animal. One specific point we want to emphasize here is that it is important to know the whole consumption ecosystem of that animal. Since it would be very useful for later analysis.

And we also think this could be a multiple model for Stampede to cooperate with other NGOs. Stampede provides services to these NGOs, and these NGOs can provide relevant first-line data to Stampede. Stampede then can aggregate these data to larger charity, such as WWF. These data will be used in the next step of animal conservation work.
